Booking and Confirmation
A booking request is not confirmed until Erg Chigaga Tours has accepted the reservation and any required deposit or payment has been received.
Your booking confirmation will include the main details of your trip, including dates, itinerary, meeting arrangements, included services, and payment information.
Please check your confirmation and notify us promptly if any information is incorrect.
Payment
A deposit or advance payment may be required to secure your booking. Payment amounts and deadlines will be communicated before your reservation is confirmed.
Additional services requested after confirmation may involve extra charges. We will explain these costs before confirming any additional service.
Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellations are handled according to our separate Cancellation and Refund Policy.
Under our standard policy:
- 15 days or more before departure: full refund.
- Less than 15 days before departure: non-refundable.
- Not showing up : non-refundable.

Changes to Your Booking
If you need to change your travel dates, itinerary, accommodation, or activities, please contact us as early as possible.

Travelers are responsible for having valid passports, visas, permits, and other documents required for their journey.
We strongly recommend appropriate travel insurance covering medical emergencies, cancellation, delays, baggage, and other travel risks.
Health and Safety
Sahara travel may involve high temperatures, walking on sand, camel riding, uneven terrain, remote areas, and changing weather conditions.
Travelers should consider their ability to participate and inform us in advance of any important medical, mobility, dietary, or accessibility requirements.
For safety reasons, we may modify an activity or route when conditions require it.
Local Partners and Services
Some services may be provided by local partners, including desert camps, hotels, drivers, guides, transportation providers, and activity operators.
These providers may have their own operating conditions. Where relevant, these conditions will apply to the services they provide.
Traveler Responsibilities
Travelers are expected to:
- Follow reasonable safety instructions from guides and drivers
- Respect local communities, traditions, and customs
- Respect the desert environment
- Take care of personal belongings
- Inform us of important requirements before departure
Weather and Unforeseen Circumstances
Weather, road conditions, flooding, extreme temperatures, government restrictions, or other unexpected events may require changes to your itinerary.
If this happens, we will communicate with you and make reasonable efforts to provide a suitable alternative.

Liability
We take reasonable care when organizing your travel arrangements. However, certain circumstances are outside our reasonable control, including weather, road conditions, transportation delays, natural events, government measures, and changes by local suppliers.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Complaints
If you experience a problem during your trip, please tell us or your local representative as soon as possible. This gives us the opportunity to investigate the issue and try to resolve it while you are still traveling.
